Janet started catching snowflakes at a young age & loved drawing them in pen & paper, always doing her best to honor the delicate beauty of each perfectly frozen crystallization of snow. Janet soon moved from drawing snowflakes to creating them in gold & diamonds finding the exquisite beauty of each snowflake could be captured forever in the beauty of diamonds! It is from this humble & passionate beginning that Double Diamond Jewelry’s Custom Snowflake Collection first fell from the sky! Double Diamond has created many Snowflakes that are worn by U.S. Ski Team Members including Mikaela Shiffrin. In fact Barilla Pasta bought one of Double Diamond’s Snowflakes for Mikaela’s end of the year congratulations gift at the 2017 World Cup giving Mikaela her second Double Diamond Snowflake! Double Diamond has worked with the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team doing fundraising jewelry trunk shows over the years. From the Women’s World Cup in 2017 in Olympic Valley & at the World Cup Finals in Aspen to the 2023 & 2024 Mens World Cup at Palisades Tahoe.
